What makes a good worker? If you were a manager, how would you like your workers to be?

In a competitive society, it is getting harder and harder for people to get employed due to fierce competition. Since there are too many people who want jobs, companies look for certain qualities in people to see if they are qualified as a good worker. Apart from remarkable qualifications and appearances, a person must be punctual and adaptable.

Being on time is the most basic rule everyone must follow. Punctuality seems to be very simple and little thing, but it is quite difficult to keep in mind. Numerous students at school get tardy for coming late and get marked which can affect your overall GPA score in college. This habit usually continues and affects their career life which comes back to them big. Besides, if a person keeps their promise in being on time, it gives them a trustful and diligent image. That is why perfect attendance guarantees one's sincerity, passion, and perseverance which are highly evaluated in companies. Furthermore, people who are accurate in time are time-efficient. They hardly waste any time such as unnecessary breaks and laybacks. Since they tend to get things done by the right time, it proves their high ability and potential to be a good employee.

It is crucial to have people who easily adapt to various situations. Varieties happen in companies or other jobs and those changes do not allow people enough time to get used to it. Companies want employees who are adaptable so that they can pull out their best in any environment. In fact, adjustable people are very sociable because they have to get along with new crews after department changes. This trait definitely benefits employers and companies. Ability to adapt also relates to quick learning. As employees need to get into work in a limited amount of time, they take a grasp of things in a quick pace. However, not many people are able to do that and require time to learn each thing. It is a time-consuming work which can be seen inefficient in companies' perspective. Thus, flexible people have no problem performing their best in any places and variations.

Employers want to recruit competent employees to work for their companies. In order to prosper the possibilities of their business, employees play a big role. As a wanted employee, one must be precise in time and must be flexible in alternations. Once these traits are possessed, managers will be lining up to cherry-pick them.
