                                          The Reasons Behind Broken Friendships

Friendship is a relationship between friends who trust, care, love, and respect each other. However, this kind of strong bond comes to and end sometimes. Friendships break apart because there are various issues that occur while staying in it.

There are various reasons why friendships fail. Some of it does not last because friends grow apart from each other. Friends end up separating because of different interests and priorities that the roads lead them to different destinations. For example, one friend moves to another country to pursue one's dream and the other decides to settle down and get married. As a result, new friends, opportunities, and challenges appear as they go on their separate ways. The lack of time and attention will make it impossible for the two to maintain the bond and eventually the friendship dies naturally.

Another reason why friendships end is because it turns into a toxic one. One treats the other unfairly by backstabbing, betraying, belittling, badmouthing, or lying. This kind of behavior is unacceptable as this can be emotionally draining to the one being mistreated. If there is no trust and respect in the relationship, then it is not worth staying in it anymore. For this reason, the friendship comes to an end because it does not do anything but leads to unhappiness.

In conclusion, these are the problems that destroy the friendship. Friendship fail because some friends grow apart, some becomes mistreated, and some loses trust. It is better when these kinds of friendships end because forcing it to work out will just build disappointment and frustration.

  1. I agree with your idea that sometimes it is better to end a friendship than trying to work it out by force. Not all relationships work out well.
To make a suggestion for your essay structure, it would be better to work more on your introduction, espectially your thesis statement. Like you have mentioned the three reasons of failure in friendship in your conclusion, you may also briefly bring it up in your intro as well :)

  2. I think you elaborated your reasons very clearly and I agree with them. One suggestion I would like to make is instead of saying there are several reasons, stating the reasons briefly would help the readers understand.

  3. I liked your essay since you supported most of the main points enough to give the reader a reason to believe them. However, I think real friends last even after they are distanced. And, there seems no ground to avoid that rebuttal. What do you think?
