Inessa Kim/page 25/June 24/Summer session

In my initial draft I will discuss the reading on Chapter 1 by Pamela Withers and compare the text with my knowledge and experiences.
First of all, I cannot deny the fact that birth order has an influence on our behavior and personality, shapes our view of life and the way we treat other people. However, the article by Withers, especially the part about the youngest child, confuses me a lot and makes no sense for me. As I am the youngest child in my family, I see a lot of differenses between the given "facts" and my personality. There is a statement that the youngest  child tends to be less ambitious than others in the family. I totally disagree with this statement, because comparing to my family, I am the most ambitious in my family and not easygoing at all. I also like to make decisions on my own and be independent. In addition, my older brother is never being charmed by my playfulness as it is claimed in the article, because I am not such little sister to be charmed by; I tend to act like an old serious lady and annoy him with my ongoings. In conclusion, I want to mention that some of descriptions are a little close to my personality. However, the whole article does not inspire confidence of veracity and gives a lot of doubts about the birth order influence in this reading.
