I think birth order is not a single determiner for child's identity and I consider it as just one of the many factors that contribute to forming a child's identity. I'm not saying that the idea of relating birth order and the personality of a person is completely wrong, but what I'm saying is that birth order is not a single determiner for a person's personality and there are much more things to consider. I think that the characteristic of the child's parent has the most influence in forming the child's identity because the parents are the ones who have the most intimate relation with the child before they go out into society. A child is not likely to be separated from he's parents until they go to kindergarten and the parents teach him how to walk, talk, read and a lot more until then. By that closeness and process of teaching the most basic things in life, parents have a critical influence towards the child's personality. The child's friends would also have an influence on the child's identity because friends are closest to the child to encounter outside his home. Not only individuals but also culture and society take a role in forming a child's identity, which makes the people in the same countries share some common characteristics. For instance, there are differences in way we think and speak in the western and the eastern countries, and there are many differences within the countries in the same ties. But still, I'm not neglecting the influences of birth orders, because also can have influence in forming the child's identity in terms of the differences in the environment of the child by it. Therefore, I think birth orders are not a single determiner for the identity of a child, but there are many other factors influencing it.
