Main idea: According to birth order, I reckon the only child has the most difficult lives ,and the oldest child , and the youngest child seems to have the most happiest lives.

supporting idea:

For the only children

1.Usually parents put more effort into nurturing the only children, like giving their kids best education , forcing them to attend different kinds of after-school classes, thus the only children tend to get much pressure from parents' high expectation.

2.The only children have difficulties struggling to be independent . Due to their "only " position, they are accustomed to turning to parents for help subconsciously when encountering troubles ,gradually forming the idea that Parents could help them any solve problems. But when parents are not there, they are more likely to be lonely and helpless.

3.The only children are apt to be domineering ,they are used to fulfilling their expectations from parents, and thinking more about receiving but not giving in return, which makes an impact on their interpersonal relationship.

 For the youngest children

1.the youngest children seem more content move gradually from child to adult. Since they don't need to try as hard as the oldest children do, parents are also more indulgent and care much about the youngest children .

2.the youngest children tend to be more attractive to some extent. Growing up in a family that giving more concern and love on them, their personality could be more obstructive like being creative ,adventurous,  and these are the specific traits that could appeal people.

  1. First, thanks for your ideas. But it is a bit hard to understand the point that life of the only child is the toughest and the oldest and youngest child the easiest. You explained some disadvantages about living the only child's life, but I think it would've seem more convincing to mention what are the advantages of it and how the harm outweighs the good.
