When people break up with someone, it is okay to be single for a while than to date someone to fall in love. As for many people, love takes a big part in their lives. When you fall in love, you feel happier than ever. You won't have to feel lonely anymore, and you could do and share tons of things with your girlfriend or a boyfriend. The problem arises when you break up. When people suddenly become single, they feel like there is a big hole in their lives. Their lovers won't be there anymore to share thoughts or to go on a date. Therefore, many people, including me in the past, struggle to make a new boyfriend or a girlfriend right after they break up. However, dating right after a break up is not a great thing to do for your own sake.
The first reason that I do not recommend dating right after break up is you need to have your own time. Dating someone takes away many opportunities that we think. People have to spend much of their time and money, and sometimes dating also brings mental stress. Therefore, it is good to do something else you doing what you haven't done while dating. You could develop a hobby or do a new exercise. Or, you could spend time studying and getting prepared for job interviews. More, you could meet old friends and go on a trip. Having time of your own can actually make you a better person, and it also can make you mentally ready to fall in love with someone else.
The second reason is that people need some time to get over relationships with their girlfriends/boyfriends after breaking up. This time makes you ready for a new love. However, if you do not take this time and fall in love with someone else so fast, it could cause troubles. When dating with new lovers, you can suddenly change your mind and contact your ex-lovers, which is a really not an appropriate thing to do. I also had a similar experience, and realized it was a horrible thing to do. Loving someone is not like choosing what sandwich to eat in Subway. It takes lots of time and care. Therefore, if you want to go on a new date, it is necessary to have your own time getting over an old one.
I agree with the term 'Love Makes You a Better Person'. It sure does. It makes you feel tons of new things and it also can make you better in many ways. However, love is also the most uncontrollable thing that can happen in life. Nobody decides or chooses to be in love with someone. But I think having your own time after breaking up at least for a while, is what you can afford, and what you can decide for a new relationship.
I think you reflected a very mature point of view on this matter. It is important no to lose control over your feelings when you break up with someone. I also want to suggest some corrections. I think that its better to use 'moreover', or 'furthermore' instead of more when you want to add things. Also, I think its better to change 'tons of things' because you used it more than once. Overall its a good writing anf I enjoyed it.
